I just heard word from the team that they have landed in Tallinn safe and sound! There were a couple of little issues with the flights, but nothing too major.

They will now be driving down to Tartu in the southern part of the country. Once there, they will crash into bed.

This afternoon at 4:00pm the team will be meeting up here at the office to head to the airport. Here is a quick summary of the trip over Estonia:

• They will first be flying to Washington, Dulles from GSO. They will have a 2 1/2 hour lay over there.
• From there they will be fly across the Atlantic to Frankfurt, Germany (this is an 8 hour flight). Another 2 hour layover.
• Then they will make the last leg of journey and land in Tallinn, Estonia at 5:25pm, Friday, June 27. That is the local time. There is a 7 hour time difference so back here in North Carolina it will be 10:30am. There body’s will have no clue what time it is.
• Once they land, they will be greeted by the Josiah Venture team and make the 2 1/2 hour drive to Tartu which will be the base camp for the next couple of days.

It is a pretty long journey so the team will definitely appreciate your prayers for safety and energy as they travel. Tomorrow morning we’ll look forward to hearing of their safe arrival.

We are now only 16 days from the departure of the trip. Let me tell you the team is increasingly excited. And they should be… we have now been preparing and training for the trip since January. In the coming days, we’ll highlight some of the things the team has been doing to prepare for the trip. We will also be updating this blog with details of the the final prep as well as how the team is doing in Estonia.
